Expert Witness Renewal Training

Training Objective

This training is intended for individuals with at least 5 years of professional experience and aims to provide them with fundamental, theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the conduct of expert witnessing activities.

Target Audience

Expert witnesses whose current registry period is about to expire or who wish to continue their duties.

Application Documents

• 1 Passport-size Photograph
• Photocopy of ID Card
• Registration Form (Annex-4) 
• Document proving at least 5 years of professional seniority (Social Security Service Record)
• Graduation Certificate
• Please carefully read the Additional Information section at the bottom of the page during application.
• Together with the application documents, scan or photograph a petition stating your profession, the specialization area(s) in which you work as an expert witness, and how many years you have been in the profession, and send it to our e-mail address.
• Application documents will be sent to dpusem@dpu.edu.tr  address.

Certificate Information

Participants who meet the attendance requirements and, provided that they meet the conditions stated in the Expert Witnessing Regulation and in the announcements published by the Judicial Commission Presidencies regarding expert witness recruitment, will be able to work as expert witnesses with the certificate of participation and the training received.

Additional Information

Attendance is compulsory for the Expert Witness Renewal Training courses.

Participants who do not attend 1/12 of the total course hours will be dismissed from the program and no fee refunds will be made.

The training will last for 1 day.

When paying the training fee, please write in the explanation section which group you wish to register for and your phone number.

Expert witnesses are required to attend the renewal training within the third year following their registration in the registry. Expert witnesses who do not attend the renewal training cannot re-apply to perform expert witnessing until they complete this training.

The requirements for becoming an expert witness are explained by the Expert Witness Department in the Expert Witnessing Regulation  and the Expert Witnessing Law.
